Magnate Global Sports LTD is a founder-led sports marketing and management organization operating at the intersection of sport, institutions, and commerce. With close to two decades of involvement in sporting events and rights-driven initiatives, the company has developed a deep understanding of how global sport operates; not only creatively, but structurally, legally, and reputationally.
A Founder-Led Sports Marketing and Rights Management Firm

Our Origin and Legacy
Experience shaped through landmark sporting engagements
Magnate Global Sports LTD’s roots trace back to the mid-2000s, during a period when Kenya was positioning itself on the global athletics stage. During the successful bid and hosting of the 35th IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Mombasa, Magnate’s leadership was involved in tournament branding initiatives — including the development of mascot-led engagement strategies that were, at the time, largely uncharted in the region.
These early experiences shaped the company’s philosophy: that sport at international level demands structure, originality, and institutional alignment. Over time, approaches pioneered during these formative years became reference points for tournament branding and fan engagement across East Africa.
What We Stand For
Credibility, integrity, and institutional fluency
At the highest levels of sport, access is regulated, reputation is fragile, and credibility is non-negotiable. Magnate Global Sports LTD operates with a clear understanding of these realities. Every engagement is approached with caution, respect for approval frameworks, and an emphasis on long-term trust over short-term visibility.
We believe that sustainable success in sports marketing and rights management is built on:
-
Clear governance awareness
-
Conservative and defensible communication
-
Respect for rights holders and institutional hierarchies
-
Accountability to partners and stakeholders
What We've Achieved

In 2006, Kenya assembled a team of highly regarded individuals to spearhead the bid to host the 35th IAAF World Cross Country Championships. The effort was led by environmentalist Dr. Isaac Kalua, long-serving AK President Isaiah Kiplagat, Secretary General David Okeyo, and other government technocrats under the leadership of Commissioner of Sports Gordon Oluoch. Kenya was granted the opportunity to showcase its organizational skills in an athletics meeting of this magnitude.
The resort city of Mombasa was chosen as the host. The Isaac Kalua–led Local Organising Committee (LOC) quickly went into action. A top priority was the character of the event — the mascot. This was an entirely new territory, uncharted by many. The LOC placed a competition to develop a mascot that would capture the mood of Kenya and its diversity. Mombasa faced strong competition from Melbourne, Australia, and Fukuoka, Japan, but ultimately emerged as the favorite.
New Sports Minister Hon. Najib Balala, himself a player in tourism, expressed elation and satisfaction that Mombasa was prepared to offer up to 50,000 world-class accommodation facilities. And so the race to unveil the mascot character began. This is our flagship project, and we take special pride in the fact that Magnate Global Sports Limited remains the trailblazer in sports tournament branding and marketing in the region.
No other company has achieved similar milestones in the region, and any entrants we gladly welcome have used our template to propel themselves forward. We submitted a bid to create the mascot for this year’s CAF CHAN Championships held in East Africa, but the organizers were unable to complete the contract in time. We look forward to leveraging the same expertise for the forthcoming CAF AFCON 2027, when the event will be hosted at a larger scale across the three East African states of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
